I see the end of the Tunnel

November 2009 was my start of my treatment plan. I prayed everyday that I would go into remission. My pain doctor gave my a sympathetic nerve block every seven days for 10 weeks. It helped so much, but the burning and pain was still coming back hard on the 5, 6 day. In February he decided that we need to start doing the blocks every other week. I was terrified. The first month of receiving the blocks every other week was not working. My pain doctor suggested that I might what burn the sympathetic Nerve. I have read good things about it and bad things. I felt that I wasn't ready to try that yet. So then two weeks later he suggested to get those a stimulator implanted in me. I heard horrid things about that and felt that it would make me worse than better. Plus it was a huge surgery. My mom was researching and learning more about RSD and found that many people are getting results from Katemine. She gave information to my pain doctor. He decided to put Katemine in my sympathetic nerve block and give me a prescription of Katemine. The prescription had to be specially made because it doesn't come in capsule form. It only comes in liquid. I started it and after a month of it, the injections where lasting longer and longer. It has been three months and am starting to have days where my pain is a 4. Before this Katemine was introduced my pain level was always a 7 or higher. My pain stays 5 or lower for 11-13 days. I now can actually see the end of the tunnel. I am starting to get my life back again. I do have bad days, but now I can say I have some goods days too.
